	I have one on a Stevens 44 with Douglas barrel on the way. set up for breech seat.i understand the pressure limitations of the action but am curious if my 118g tapered bullet is a wise choice?

	105 grain bullet 7.5gr. 4227 shoots very well in my 44 stevens with 10 twist douglas barrel art

	Two Stevens 44!/2's, two barrels, one Krieger, one Shilen, both 1 in 10" twist. Testing both Mos 119 grain and NOE 120 bullets with 25:1 and 20:1 alloy. The bullets are stable and accurate out to 200 yards. Have fun, I enjoy taking these rifles to the range and shooting them. .

	Unless you're significantly exceeding plain-base bullet MV or using excessively fast powders, you don't need to worry about pressures. The 44 in .25-20 will handle it fine. At worst the linkage will loosen up after a few thousand rounds if you push it too hard. Ask me about the time I fired a double charge of AA#9 in one of mine. No, maybe better if you don't.
