CPA rifles don't really need one. With just an adjustable length plugged case the block will cam the bullet into position.

Willis Gregory and or Jerry Cleave both make a very nice breech seating tool.

You could also use an old fashioned push seater that was everybody's tool before the mechanical versions showed up.

I believe the below two seaters were made by Willis Gregory and he is also a member of this site. I once owned one of his seating tools and it worked very well.

I don't currently make seaters for the 44 1/2. My design only really works well for the Rugers/1885s and other similar falling blocks.

The CPA plugged case is to be used in conjunction with their breech seating chambering reamer design. It is not a universal plugged case that was designed to be used in all of the other various chambering reamer designs.

John, what exactly is the difference?

You should know Joe but one example could be the plugged case might not even fit the chamber and it goes down hill from there.

No John, I shouldn't know. I know nothing of CPA special chambers or their reamers. I have never owned a CPA rifle or one of there plugged cases.

So you are saying you suspect a difference in dimensions? Your statement is perty firm and after reading it, thought you must know.

So I'll ask again, what are the differences?

This not a personal attack, just a simple question.

As I said before the case might not even fit. Does the CPA 32-40 chamber have a neck or is it straight chambered to 32. Does the gentleman's chamber have a neck or is straight chambered too. What is the freebore length for a CPA chamber. What is the freebore length for the gentleman's rifle and what are the odds of them being same. How much of the bullet will be engraved in a CPA chamber and how much of the bullet will be engraved in the gentleman's chamber. If shooting offhand one could probably make anything work well enough to get buy. But if shooting benchrest one could probably not get by and still be competitive against the rest. That's just to name a few that come to mind and I will leave it at that. Common sense should now take over from here if given some serious individual thought. And then again maybe not?

John, I'm curious about the CPA breech seating chamber.

You have a CPA so figured you must know something about how it differs from a standard chamber.

By the way, OP never did mention what case or caliber his CPA is. If the OP has a CPA 32-40 rifle, a CPA plug seater should work, shouldn't it? Or was the special chamber an option?

I didn't request a special chamber for mine and I made my own plugged case and with a tapered Pope style bullet everything works just fine. Then I made an adjustable plugged case so I could play with the seating depth. Then this Covid thing came along...

I share your pain.

Hoping things get back to normal quick.

So there is a special chambering offered by CPA?
