I contacted Rodney(years ago,maybe 15??18??) after I bought the kit and had it ready to case-harden. He was teaching a class I believe at the time and invited me to attend. He showed me how to do it there, on that action. Afterward, I did the 45-90 that I posted earlier, myself. 

That thread seems to have disappeared for some reason. Maybe I did something wrong?????

Your 45-90 thread is there (I just posted on it). 
Like very much how you machine the barrel-hoop to match the octagon on the barrel. Always my favorite look with a High Wall.

  

Glenn - 2x CPA 44 1/2 w/22LR (Shilen ratchet-rifled & Bartlein 5R rifled), 38-40RH & 38-55WCF (Bartlein 5R rifled) & 40-65WCF (GrnMtn 'X') barrels
