Question for Quickload experts

Print Post
As I venture into the unknown, loading for my 44-40 XL, would it be possible to enter my cartridge into the Quickload database by dimensions and capacity and such? What about my custom lead bullets? I don't want to spring for the software if it can't be tailored to the old rounds we actually shoot.

I've used the database for almost two decades and am satisfied with it. Their values simulate what I see at the range for velocity and pressure. I am at the point in life where I realize a powder measure goes down in thrown weight as well as up.

There are 1200 cartridge listing plus you can enter your own.

I use the seating depth feature with a negative value to simulate breech-seating.
