Hywall in 22/3000

I just got a very interesting addition to my hywalls.
This one was rebuilt in Ontario Canada in 22-3000 Lovell. Very interesting thing about is that it has the owners ledger, loading tools, original 22-3000 brass, some new 25-20 brass, a very simple broken case extractor, and a few other interesting papers. The owners ledge starts with his first shooting of the gun starting in 1939 and end about 1977. All what he called vermin shooting on farms. With who’s farms, how many kills on what dates. 
It had a thru bolt installed and a set trigger which requires some work! The only thing I think it needs is a Niedner fire pin conversion. And it may become our new predator fixer. The barrel appears to be like new. 
Not an original but one I’m thrilled to own with lots documented history.

What was his name? I have a couple old varmint hunting books that list some early Canadian hunters.

One signature in the papers is Albert G Shaeft Not sure of spelling.
I think he’s the owner but not positive .

Lay hands on a modern reprint of Charles S. Landis (1951) "Woodchucks and Woodchuck Rifles".  Much stuff on Ontario's woodchuck shooters, hunting areas & gunsmiths, not just Ellwood Epps.

Sounds like a gem!  I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to alter the breech block to the Niedner type firing pin, which I regard as an elegant solution to a nonexistent problem.

PS  My actual last name is Shaeff... I wonder if that guy was a distant cousin as our name got changed around a lot a couple of centuries ago.
