Just purchased a new / never fired 1885 Browning BPCR from an estate . I only got the gun with sights installed, nothing else, so am looking over this forum for any and all advise, information and help regarding the rifle. I am not new to single shots, and bought a new Shiloh 1874 Montana Rough Rider new back in 2008 . I'm looking to learn all I can about these Browning's . Thanks !

There's a member here, texas-mac, who has a website and book out on the subject. I have his book, and he makes great contributions here, not a bad start for your search.

Thanks, Rebel. I bought my 1885 Browning from a local bullet manufacturer who had bought it, and a large amount of other mostly new in the box's handguns and rifles. The owner had , for some reason kept all the paperwork, and boxes for the handguns, but not for the long guns . Needless to say, my rifle had the correct & original sights, but was missing all the sight accessories, manual, etc. I posted a wanted ad here on the forum, and have found what I needed...great group of folks, here !!   Smiley
