This might be a clue but note that it says it won't work in old ones: (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
Of course, these will as they will be made to your chamber's specifications: (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

My Peabody-Martini Creedmoor is marked 44-100 and I have not yet made any cases for it.  My plan is to use 460 Weatherby brass and after forming and trimming will machine the head area to remove the belt.  I will then solder (with 450F solder) a rim to the head.  Just another project I haven't got around to but all the parts are ready.  The case that Frank at Providence Tool developed used 50-90 Sharps brass and that is too small for an original chamber.

Rusty, is your rifle an original Peabody or one of the newly manufactured ones from Providence Tool in Plymouth, WI.?
I believe Frank's chambers were identical with the original Peabody's. He used 50-100 Winchester cases, that were sized and trimmed for his 45-100 Peabody (the same round as the 44-100 Peabody). We used a 520 grain paper patch bullet with a full case of Swiss 1 1/2 powder.

The Dutch Beaumont basic brass is the proper head and rim for the Peabody-Martini .45-95 or 100 cartridge for the original long range antique target rifles. The .45 Turkish military cartridge of the same vintage, from the P-M military rifles is almost exactly interchangeable. The big differences were the wad column and projectile in the loaded ammunition military vs target.  I believe RMCC (or whoever took over by now) made basic brass for me with the proper headstamp, but not really any better than the Beaumont stuff.

If you're loading for the repro Peabody sidehammers out of Wisconsin, then you'll have to check Frank's website for particulars as it is no an original cartridge from the period.
