Anyone have one of the wildcat cartridge books, either the 1947 Simmons or the Wolfe set, and could look up the 25 Krag (not the Ackley or short version) and see what they were shooting in it? Thanks!

I could find no loads in the Simmons or Wolfe books. All I could find was in Sharpe's book. 87gr Remington HP 35 to 40gr Dupont 4064. Est. velocities 2800 to 3200 fps. No pressures given. 26" bbl. Hope this is some help.

Sharpe’s Book. I left it large to read.

My Ideal Hand Book from the 40's or 50's shows a section on the 25 Krag by referring it as a rimmed 257 Roberts and to use data reduced by 5% to 8% below 257 data.  My QuickLoad has data for the 25 Krag as well.  Tom

Thanks, Tom. I wonder how the 257 Roberts - 8% loads for 100 grain bullets with 4320 and 4064 compare with the modern Quickload data for the 25 Krag.

I bought a set of 25 Niedner dies made by Belding & Mull for a Niedner 25/06 years ago. They turned out to be  based on the 30/40 case. They were also stamped "25 Neidner" Niedner being misspelled.
