I used to know a guy that did international arms shipping.  I can see if he still does it.  Let me know if you want to contact him.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I know the shipping will be crazy high. But I haven't purchased a antique rifle from England since 9-11, so not sure how that goes these days? I'd simply call BATF and ask them if and how it can be done.
Another source might be Simpsons Ltd. They bring a lot of guns into the US, and might be able to assist you.

Last year I bought a rifle from a fellow who imported it from England. He claimed he had over $1000 in fees to import it.

Contact the member here, Steve Bertram, also known as SKB. He has an import license and may be able to help you out. He also has a website but I can't remember what it's called. Bob

Just bought a double gun leather CASE ONLY, no gun, from England.    Confiscated by good old Ebay Global shipping service.  I got my money back but the seller lost the case.   I think if customs paper work has any "word" with "gun" in it, they reject it.

what a world !!!

What year is it. If made in 1898 or earlier, ATF considers it a non gun. After that date it needs an importer. By letter of the law, it will need import marks stamped on it. I get "antique" guns from overseas on occasion. They are just put in the mail and show up at the house.
That is this end. The rules for the sender vary. You'll need to see what they want.
