40-63 smokeless loads safe for original ballard

Skirmisher bud wants to expand his bp horizons on into smokeless for his fine original 40-63 ballard FORGED action. Uses shortened 405 win brass so essentially a 40-70 SS.  I feel about 19 Grains 4759 and a 265 rnfp is ok load but seek additional loads and advice. Thanks

I'm also using 4198 in my .40-63 Ballard #4 1//2. But 16 grs. for me has proven to be very poor ignition and burn rate. It leaves a lot of unburned powder in the bore, and poor accuracy. 18.0 gr.-20.0 grs. gives cleaner burning, and better results. But I'm using a 330 gr. RCBS CSA bullet.

I used 17.5 gr of IMR 4227 with a breech seated 330 grain bullet and had pretty decent accuracy at 100 yards while fireforming some cut down Nosler 9.3 X 74R brass.
