Thanks JL you have confirmed my suspicions. Nothing is firm nothing is black and white it’s all a shade of alchemy. You work thru trial and error for the right recipe. The answer comes in degrees often so subtle you can walk right past it.  If it was obtainable we could all put five bullets through the same hole. So okay I will have to settle in and start the process. But for beginners offhand I believe alloy honing may not be as critical huh? There is only so much time and energy a start up like myself can dedicate. Virgin metals makes sense but purity alone can’t always answer as there are way too many variables in casting, barrels, lubes and atmospherics that play as much or more a part in the bullets flight. Don’t you think ?
