So which is it you are asking about:
35-55    or  38-55?

I've used some old W630 in 38-55 with good success, but I don't think I've ever tried W680

I have burned 3 jugs of WC680 Surplus powder bought from Pat in Medina. 1982-83
I used it in my 32 Thompson, 32-40 wildcat designed by Larry Thompson, ASSRA past Secretary..13.5 grains with a 165gr bullet, BS
I have a 38-50Rem I shoot with smokeless..I ran out of WC680 and went to 300MP.
I did use the WC680 in some bottleneck ctgs, 30-40Krag and 6.5X50 Jap, seemed to be close to Reloder 7, the older powder with brown flakes in it, never compared it to the newer powder made in (Belgium)?
I never used Mag primers with WC680 and burned clean

The burn rate for 680 is nearly identical to accurate 1680, which is still available. I have used both, but found others that worked better in 38-55 Ballard (for Val). If you have quite a bit of it, you might try to make it work for you. It was my go to powder for hornet and K hornet , till Lil'Gun came along.

I must add that I was refering to winchester 680, not sure if WC680 has a similar burn rate or character.

Accurate 1680 was originally WC680 (military contract). Winchester 680 canister powder was about 5% quicker in burn rate.

My newest project is a Rolling Block chambered in .38-55. There is about 4-pounds of W680 in my pile. It worked well in a .41 Mag. revolver. Any charge weight suggestions in the Roller with 250-300 grain bullets?

Thanks!

Tom
