Emmert’s lube in a Lyman 450

I’ve been using Emmert’s lube for many years as a pan lube, but now I’m heading off in a slightly different direction and am wondering whether with slight or hopefully no modification I can pour it into hollow sticks and use it in one of my Lyman 450s.  Of course it’s pretty soft in its original formula (no heat needed  Wink ) but if needed I could add a little more beeswax or a even a touch more carnauba if needed(?). Anybody have experience along those lines?  Thanks in advance!  Cool

Emmerts works for me in my RCBS Lubersizer. Should work just fine in the Lyman 450.

No need to make sticks, just pour it into the lubrisizer.

I also pour lube directly into my Lyman lubrisizer. But you can make sticks and not bother making them hollow. They push their own hole through the center easily with softer lube like Emmerts.

This is a great topic.  I've used Emmert's lube for a very long time but I've never used it in a lubrisizer.

Because of the Crisco and vegetable oil, I've always been concerned that the lube would go rancid if left at room temperature for long periods of time.

I store Emmert's lube (and lubed bullets) in the refrigerator. It appears that I've been overly cautious.

I've never left my Emmert's out in hot environments (except when I was out with ammo or bullets at a range on a warm day.)  When not in use, the pan of lube and the bullets I have pre-lubed stay in the basement... cool but not like a refrigerator.  I've never had a batch go rancid, even after 2-3 years or even more.
