I normally use a pair of leather work gloves, the relatively light weight but full grain ones with short cuffs.  I never have problems with ANY wood handled moulds.

I also had a set of the aluminum single cavity mould handles I randomly picked up at a N-SSA event... the only problem I had was that they broke after about 6 months to a year.  Sad

This is the type of glove I use and it is extremely comfortable. I have tried using a welding glove and it's difficult to pick up the bullets and place them in the as cast block. A good Tig welding glove is also very comfortable to use but the heat goes right through it pretty fast. The Ove Glove handles the heat very well and I only use it on the one hand for cutting the sprues and placing the bullets in the order as cast block.

JLouis - When I saw your post, I had in mind oven mittens if you will, assuming a typo error. The one you picture looks to be far more usefull. I will have to check a dollar store as my welding gloves are near the end of their usefull life, but will still need a pair for welding. Thanks for the photo to clear things up. I have never found to my satisfaction that shooting in order as cast was worth the added effort, hence I just drop bullets on an old folded towel, but I guess one could drop them in order, and put in a block after a casting session. On the other hand, I don't hold any bench or offhand records, so I revert to the old addage, to each his own. As always, best regards Krag

Krag I wasn't sure if you might have been thinking about an Oven Mitten and so thought it best to go ahead and share a picture of the Ove Glove. I been using them for several years now and I really like them the best for my use. They sell for just shy of $19.00 per pair on Amazon and I bought five pair at the dollar store for a dollar a pair. Each glove can be used on either hand so I figured I now have a lifetime supply. I only use the one glove on my right hand and I bought all that they had at the time and a hell of a deal. I was paying $16.00 a pair at Target.
