Winchesters for sale

The Antique Gallery in Anchorage must have just bought out a Winchester collection. I must have seen 6-8 High Walls, 32-40 shootzen, 45-70 and others. 3 or 4 1895's, and 3 or 4 low walls. They also have 1/2 a dozen Sharps, a military rifle, military carbines, and a Sharps Burchard target rifle in 38-56 to kill for. I came out of there dehydrated cuz my palms were sweating profusely. And me with no money to spend, poor me, poor me. Oh ya, a German shootzen  also. I know I spelled shootzen wrong I'm too lazy to look it up.

Schuetzen   Wink

There is also Schützen, but it is a German military term for a type of rifleman.

Schuetzen is simply the Americanized way of
"spelling" the German word the two dots over the "u" known as  the "umlaut".

How do you put the 2 dots above the
"U"?

Yeah. The Antique Gallery has a lousy website, but it is an awesome place to go in. My knees got weak the first few times I went in there. A museum with price tags!

They don't seem to be selling anything off their website, and Anchorage is awfully far from Virginia for a drop-in.  Dang!

I was in there last month and we were totally surprised by the place. The guns were amazing, but also plenty of paintings, sculpture, furniture, etc. Museum with price tags is exactly right.

There was a gal in there looking to buy a double rifle for her boyfriend. That’s a woman!  My wife was there so I couldn’t ask if she had a sister.
