One more thing...  Not all of the BACO 45 cal Money bullets have exactly the same nose shape.  I have a 540gr bullet with a larger nose profile than their lighter versions of this bullet.  It has the same length as the lighter bullet but the extra weight is in the nose.

Brian, I shoot the middle two and I don't see a nickles difference in them.  The 2nd from the left which has the Sharps profile shoots about 5 min lower than the Baco Metford at 1000yds  It also weighs 540gr to 526gr for the Metford.  The Metford has a reduced band so that I can get 4-5 more grains of powder in the case which is probably the reason for the different elevations.  When the Metford (money bullet) became popular, I saw claims of up to 20 min difference in elevation over more normal bullet shapes which was utter B.S. I seem to get more funky shots with the Metford than the one based on the Sharps.  It is a fine shooting bullet though.  I was shooting it at Lodi in May and the first morning at  1000yds, conditions were ideal.  My last sighter was a nine at 12:00 and I came down one minute and went for score.  My first shot slipped under the target.  That's what I mean about funky.  I then went on to shoot 8-10's and one 9 for an 89-2X.  I'd sure liked to have had that first shot over as the record is a 98.

Arnie, both those bullets that Dan had were originally PP and I think that's when he started experimenting with mini-grooves and micro-mini's.

Thanks Bob, always curious what is working well for others, and in search of better loads, for better results.

Have to talk to you some time about your daughters 40-65 load at the Quigley shoot, seemed like it was working very well.
