Vintage tang sight ID? (Read 2787 times)

	This vintage tang sight is coming up in a Canadian online auction shortly and I'm curious if anyone can ID it? It's marked on the disc with a patent date of May 17 1887 and the base hole spacing is about 2.150". Hopefully someone on here has a copy of the new sights book and might be able to find a match ... 	I may have passed my "Best Before" date, but I haven't quite reached my "Expiry" date yet ...

	I think it's an all original Stevens , this one is on my rifle. But Jeff is correct, that is not the original Stevens base. Eye cup is correct. Doug Won't except my pic but it's all originals Stevens but the base

	Looks like the finish is a little rough and like one of the windage adjusting nuts is missing too, but it isn't hard to make a new cross screw and two matching adjusting nuts if needed. Like what was mentioned-it appears to be a Stevens modified to fit a Winchester.

	It appears to be a Stevens 100 on a base that may fit a Winchester tang.

	Compare the differences in the knurling on the elevation adjustment "barrels" between Reverend Al's and Kurt_701's pictures.
