I have a Model 12 re-barreled to 357 Herrett and shoots very well and a 310 Cadet re-chambered to 32-20. Do you shoot heeled bullets in the 32-40? ratseye

That's quite the collection.  I've owned a fair number over the years in calibers ranging from .22 Long Rifle to .357 Magnum, with a host of centerfires in between.  The small frame action makes into a very nice single shot hunting rifle if you are judicious about caliber choice.  I'd still like to build one to use as a deer rifle on either a cartridge from the .30-30 family or a .25 caliber wildcat of some kind based on a case from the .222 family.  Most recent thought is a .25 caliber on a 5.6x50R case.  Or I could use the last Bob Snapp rimless extractor I have in the parts drawer and go with a .222 Remington Magnum case as the parent.  Either way, it would be a lovely little woods rifle.

Moodyholler,
I see you like Cadets.
Mine is one that was once sold in the late '50s by Klein's Sporting Goods that they had rebored to 357 Mag. Accurate fun gun.
