At what temp do you start burning the tin out of your alloy?
Phil

I don’t think you can actually burn out the tin. Tin melts at a lower temp, but boils at a higher temp, around 4000 degrees, vs 3000.

If you left the mix in the pot long enough, it would separate since the less dense tin would float to the top, eventually.

If understand correctly the reason you can’t stir the tin back in without out a flux is oxidation, not burning.
