Tacoma Spring Single Shot April 13 &14, 2019

The “Tacoma Condition” totally failed us on Saturday; squirrely winds in the valley up and down from 0 to 15 mph, rain off and on, and cold.  One of the gusts spoiled an offhand shot ;-(  Sunday was much better, lower winds and fewer changes, no rain and much warmer without the winds.

I waited until Sunday to shoot the .22 relays.  Still had some wind to deal with.  Calm conditions would last 5 seconds or less.   Loren really scored great at 200 yd .22 on Saturday when the conditions were their worst.  I think we even had a gravity anomaly or two.

Jack, WE should have just shot offhand on Saturday.  The wind would probably blown as many in as it blew out  Cheesy

Nice condition reading and having the ability to adjust for it and typically what separates those at the top from the rest and some very nice BR Shooting indeed did take place.

It is a nice place to shoot but the board keeps getting in the way.  Kind of a catch 22.  Since they forced us to allow members to shoot during our match and only guaranteed us 9 benches (this after a Saturday a few years back when we filled all 18) the number of shooters have dropped in half.  Matches were much better when Schuetzenmeister was running the show.  I look forward to seeing you in Spokane Pete.

WE can use as many benches as we need for the participants.  Too many new members griping about not being able to shoot in teh middle of a match if there is a bench open  Huh

Pete, The first 500 isn't a big deal, it is the last 50!  Embarrassed Angry Angry
