32-40 Ballard Hepburn

In the past few months, I've sold some rifles ( lever actions ) and decided due to my eyesight that I should get rid of some I really don't shoot that often or the thrill has left some that, at one time, I couldn't live without. Even a Match Grade B in 38-55 went down the road but sold that for reasons I will keep to myself. Then decided not to buy anymore and to enjoy the one's I have. Well, that thought didn't last very long. But having singleshotitis ( which there is no known cure, as you all know ) I bought this a few months ago. Another Remington Match Grade B in 32-40 Ballard. Have always wanted one in this caliber and it was at a reasonable price so I had to get it. My first love are 1885's but really like these Hepburns.  Dale.

Yeap, you got it bad. Poor eyesight and buying a iron sight rifle says it all. A rifle too nice to drill and tap for a scope too!

Well you know,...you should really have that looked into... btw if it flares up again, feel free to let me store a few here in Colorado.

Just a beautiful rifle!

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

That's a gorgeous rifle Dale! And the case with accessories you've put together makes it even nicer! Sure has a pretty color to the stocks!

I have the same symptoms, there is not really a cure,  just treatments.    Sometimes a Ballard will ease the  symptoms.

BTW,  that's a nice case,  did it come with it or did you get it elsewhere?

Thanks -06, Got the case from Jeff's Outfitters. Just made some refinements to suit me.  Dale.

What a wonderful Hepburn. Yes you couldn't walk past that one. Great to see a nice collection of accessories too. Thanks for posting.

I appreciate all the kind comments from everyone. Now I have a question. When I went to the Baltimore show, I took this Hepburn to show Tom Rowe as I had some questions about it. Who better to ask. Right away he noticed that it had a checkered trigger. I didn't even notice it. I asked was it factory and he said it probably was. That's when he told me to see Dick Binger. So took it to show Dick and he said it was factory done and that he had only seen one other. That was neat. So my question is, anybody else out there have a checkered trigger on their Hepburn ? If you do, it's quite rare.  Thanks, Dale.
