Stevens 52 Barrel Marking Question

Bought a Stevens 44 1/2 Model 52 in 28-30.  Under the forearm there is a stamping    R19   Anyone know what that would be fore ?

Yes it is in good shape.  But the R19 is new to me.

Does the barrel have a 19” right-hand twist?
