How to reload the 32 Long Colt.

  Hi all:
Does anyone here know how to form 32 Long Colt brass from another case? The closest case I could find is the 32 S&W.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
     Bill.

I think there's someone selling reformed cases on ebay, along with the correct bullets.

For a general idea, you can look up the brass or bullets on gbroker and read the description below.

It is quite an operation to form them from 32 S&W.    Turn the web diameter, size down, turn neck thickness, etc.   If you can buy them from someone, do it that way.  Moulds are available -- I was fortunate to be able t o make one that worked on the 2nd try.  It's a fun ctg.

If you have a .25-20 Single Shot, save your cases that are worn out with neck cracks or mouth splits.  These can be shortened to .32 Long length for the outside lubed heel bullets, or left a little longer for the inside lubed hollow-base bullets.  (I believe the latter loading was called the .32 Long Rifle.)

The shortened shells should fit the chamber perfectly.

I'm the one who sells the formed 32 Long Colt cases and 299153 heel bullets, but they are on GunBroker (seller tenmile) not ebay.  I also machine the cases further so you can load 32 rimfires using .22 nail gun loads.  My nephew is making a 32 RF loading kit for use with the RF cases and you can look on youtube ( (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)) to see how it works.  We will have all of the 32 CF and RF stuff at Tulsa.  12E near the concession stands and Men's room.

I gave up decades ago forming .32 Long from .32 S&W Long. Way too much work. I kept searching gun shows for old ammo or brass, and eventually ended up with about 1,000 rds. of ammo and some new unprimed brass.
Don't even own a .32 Long anymore.
