my favorite single shot rifle ever (before I acquired my Ballard and My Hepburn, but that's another story...  ) was the Winchester 1885, and esthetically speaking, the Low Wall.

And an unknwon tang sight (I believe it might be Axtell made, but have no idea if and how they vere marked. Definitely not the average "italian" quality that we normally find in Europe these days...)

i have acquired the necessary "turned brass" .22 primed modern brass for the 32 Long, but have not tried it yet. The rifle is the best preserved one, with quite a lot of original finish.

The two others are "shooters", rasonnably accurate for the 32-20, load tests pending, a bit of a rough bore on the .22LR makes it a plinking gun (relining would be my option, but tinkering with guns has been outlawed in France last year, so getting parts is near impossible, and talking about it on forums would be stupid  )

I could find a place in my heart (and safe) for all three of those gems. Thanks for the tour.

As I remember, freebird, Axtell sights are stamped with an "A" inside a circle (or other simple figure) on the bottom of their bases.

I'll check the presence of a A mark under the tang sight when I can convince myself to take it off 

The front sight is modern made, but sure look like a Winchester original. Again, did not find a mark on it before installing it...
