	Because my original correspondence is framed under glass, it is difficult to get good photos--this is about the best I can do. If there is any interest, I can post items from Stevens, Malcolm Scope Co and Hartley & Graham, Leon

	That is so kool. Big fan of Farrow. I for one would enjoy seeing the other stuff you have. So his lube was not a trade secret, just tallow and Vaseline. I wonder if he was shooting smokeless or black then.

	As long as this concerns Farrows lube here is an original tin of lube. Not sure how long one could hold it over a fire to melt it holding the folding wire handles? Must have been good it cost twenty five cents. Came from Jim Grant in 1968 when he sold a large number of items.

	the letter is dated from 1887, so probably not shooting smokeless at that time. If he were, I'd expect him to have mentioned the new propellant, just to clarify. Neat letter, and I'll vote, along with the other fellows, to have a peek at what all you'd like to share. Thanks for this one.

	OK, fellow Farrow students: Is that WMF's handwriting? Which is only marginally legible / pretty bad in other letters. Or did Abby write it?

Correct: According to Oxford Dictionary, per is a preposition and means "for & by means of." It's also appended to the "W.H.D." initials on the Malcolm letter. (For Wm. H. DeGroff, who owned the company for a time after it moved to Auburn.)

	Tom_Trevor do the directions for use on the lid of the Tin referance it as being used in a Lube Pump. Or possibly another means for applying the lube it is a bit to hard for me to read.

	AC, have you tried a polarizing filter to cut the glare on the glass when taking photos?
