	Can't eat the Horns so they say but the rest of it is to die for and I can almost taste the Liver and Onions. What caliber, bullet, powder and primer did you use assuming you loaded your own.

	My dad lived in middle Georgia. At that time the season limit was 9 deer!

	My Browning 78 in 25-06 has supplied me with many meals over the last 20 years or so. It has taken back seat to my 25/35 Stevens 44 1/2 and last fall my 38/56 Rolling Block. My hunting partner liked my 78 so much he retired his 1885 in 7mm mag and had me find a 78 in 25-06 for him. Both rifles are sub moa with reloads. Several years ago he missed a nice 4x4 mulie at about 225 yards and while he was reloading I killed it with the 25/35. The second buck gave him a nice shot and he missed again. I told him he was over-gunned with the 25-06 and its heavy recoil was making him flinch! Good job! Tom

	Thank you Tom my 25-06 was also a small group shooter with handloads at the time. Myself and a couple of Friends had a place with unlimited ground Squirrels to shoot. One had a 222 and the other a 22-250 and anything beyond their range was left up to me. If memory serves me right the longest was 450 but anything around 300 was instant death indeed also for me. I used a 2" 24X Unertl with the Unertl Dot at the time and it worked out very well for.

	I think it is more about controlling the population rather than anyone needing that many. That said, there were many people living in my dad's area who could definitely use the meat. My dad never hunted deer there but he would knock squirrels out of his pecan trees and give them to a man who would occasionally show up with some eggs. It was a very rural area. By the way, my deer rifle is a .250 Savage.
