Frank, It isn,t a lack of muscle, it is the presence of arthritis. I spend 2 hours a day in a gym..and I would suspect arthritis is a common ailment for many on this website. Repetition is the culprit, and weight doesn't help. Krag

In the For What Its Worth dept.  This thread got me interested in casting and shooting some more of the bullets from my NOE ELCO 322-217-SP Brass mold.  It is a bit heavy and I would probably not want to cast over 80 bullets in one session.  That said, it does cast perfect bullets very easily.  I took some out yesterday with 40ish degree temps. calm but rainy with limited visibility conditions.  We call that nice shooting weather around here.  I took John Louis' suggestion and upped my power charge of 300MP to 14.2 gr from the 12.4 gr that I had been using and shot this 5 shot group.  My fairly waterproof 20x24 paper backing that i bought a 1.5" stack of at the state surplus office for $3 did its job well so I did not have to deal with soggy paper targets.

Yep 200.  Add a 100 yd CF match at Tacoma Bob and I will shoot my high wall at that distance Smiley

Probably do worse than 200.

Here is a picture that shows the size of the brass mould blocks I make and use for myself and my friends. The bullet sitting on top and cast from this mould should give one an idea of the size of the mould. This to me it is the perfect size for both balance, weight and comfortable casting. If NOE might entertain making the same size for their single cavity blocks I think it would help to increase their overall sales.

Hmmm BobZ everyone might want to then be my friend I need to think on that one for awhile. They are gifted to my friends for the Joy of being able to help them out and I have no desire in making or selling any. So it does present abit of a problem as no one can have to may friends.

Naw just no joy in it for the money BobZ I, I have enough to keep myself busy doing other things and I don't want any commitments that would keep me from doing those things.

As a side note, I have several brass molds by both NOE and Accurate and find them both a great value. The only problem I have with either brand is the single cavitiy versions are much harder to keep the heat up while casting. No problems with the multicavity versions but the mass of the mold blocks do give me troubles on a cold day. So now I cast with the singles in the summer and the multis in the winter, works for me.

Probably to much unknown involved in making smaller single cavity blocks even though it would save money on the material costs and better suit the end user from my listening to everyone's remarks.
