The problem JL, is that you always have some sort of issue or something negative to say about anything that I post, agree with, or have anything positive to say, regarding what ever it is. NOE stands behind ANYTHING they sell and will replace anything or refund the price on anything that a customer has a issue with. All they have to do is call and tell NOE what is at issue. It will be dealt with within 24 hours and I've never heard of anyone not being satisfied. He (Al) goes out of his way to to make sure of that. Before I had anything to do with NOE, about 10 years ago, I bought one of their molds, it cast small, I called about it and he had another mold in the mail, the next day but, asked if I'd rather have a refund. He also paid the return shipping. He didn't know me from anyone! See how long that takes with Lyman or SAECO or if they even answer you. Brooks is good about replacing a mold too but, if you send a drawing to him, it's not likely you'll get what you order. I had that issue and at least two other forum member have too as I supplied the drawings for them. With NOE, you get what the drawing says it will be, you get it ROUND, on center and a high quality finish, at 1/3 the amount of a Brooks mold. You also get ROUND and on center with a Brooks mold. Brooks molds are indeed high quality. Let's address the ONLY complain listed, Bob's. Bob choose to do his own fix, I'm sure he never called Al about it (my assumption) or Al would have sent another plate. Regarding Bob's not understanding, what he is calling a strange sprue plate, I don't understand that. It's hinged from the back and you tap the front of the plate to open it, like most custom molds. Can you tell us more about that, Bob? The only other complaint he had was that it is heavy, we all agree on that but, a heavy mold will make high quality bullets. I, myself have thought of milling the bottom and lower sides to lighten mine. On a SC molds, you can make two large and or elongated holes between the guide pins and the cavity. Drill holes in the bottom and or under the sprue plate. Frank
