I got a special treat this evening on stand....I had a wolf pack go into a full on frenzy howl less than a half mile from me, three times in half an hour. No deer sighted Undecided. That must put absolute fear into every living mammal within earshot.

I suppose it does.  One of the history books I read about colonial Pennsylvania mentioned children walking to school in large groups with an older child or adult because of wolves.

Myself and my brother got it when he was in the second grade and myself in the first we shared it and at that time we were still living in town but it was also being shot daily in the back yard.

Well that was not at all a concern Dad had previously taught us safety. But one day we both decided to go down the alley and to shoot some English Sparrows out of the neighbors trees. Also being extremely safe when doing so but when we walked back into our own backyard there was City Policemen standing there talking to Dad waiting for us. So the everyday thing was put on hold for awhile and a real heart breaker for us both and a hell of alot more punishment than if we would have just got our bottoms spanked of which we did not but we did get a few birds!

So, it's OK to break laws, but not see humor in the post above yours, right?
Thanks anyhow,Aaron, you tried.

I watch the "Christmas Story" every year, hard not to.
Jean Shepard is the best raconteur ever.
(though Mike Rowe and Morgan Freeman are a close second)

Wasn't breaking the law all though living in town we we're still outside the city limits where shooting was legal. The real issue was one of neighbors was a bird lover and she called the Cops. The police officer could care less we were in trouble with Dad only as we were not supposed to take the gun outside of back yard and just simply got caught this time.

I agree Aaron the Christmas Story is still one of the best Christmas classics of all time.

Just as much fun as the Christmas Story.

Aaron

yeah, it's off topic, but well worth an hour of your time.
