After looking at Joe's nice pictures I thought I'd post a picture of another nice highwall built by Mr. Durren.

This one is based on a C. Sharps action milled to thin side, has a #5 weight BRC barrel in .38-55 with MVA sighting equipment.

Clearly I need to get better at taking pictures of rifles.

Chris.

What I like about Steve is that he is full-service.  he can do the metal work including any mechanical issues, he does expert polishing, metal finishing, wood work and checkering.

You have a very nice rifle!  I lover the case-colors on the action and the fancy wood and extra-fancy checkering with the fleur-de-lis.  The cheeck-piece is on the wrong side  Smiley ... ha.

Very nicely done!

I just did some experimenting with the camera.  The last picture really doesn't show the case coloring well.  This one is better but seems to have exaggerated the colors a bit.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

That's a gorgeous High Wall too! I like the colors, they look like what Marlin did in the early days!

He sure does excellent work.  The more I handle it the more I appreciate the attention to detail he put into it.

That's just how a rifle is supposed to look Smiley I'd love to read a range report on this rifle.

Beautiful Special Sporting rifle.  Taking effective pictures of rifles is a whole other craft.

It seems like it Joe.  You seem to have that part figured out better than I do.
