Original Pacifics get fewer and fewer all the time! The Pacific was probably one of the best selling rifles Marlin made in the Ballard line, and because of their use by custom gun makers for custom builds, the number of originals is pretty low compared to what they built.
I've had a few Pacific Ballard rifles, and they've always been a favorite of mine. Most were larger .45-70, .40-60M, or .40-85 Everlasting Ballard. My favorite is the .40-85-EB caliber. It's just a super cartridge.
