There is a mould maker near here that will make custom moulds I think. I'm not sure but I think they make the moulds out of brass, the company is called Cast Bullet Engineering, what their prices are like I have no idea but I will find out.
I have quite a collection of bullet moulds that my fussy rifle decided that it didn't like, I was hoping to avoid adding to the collection.
As a matter of fact I might advertise them for sale on the ASSRA site and recoup some of my money. On re thinking that idea how many of the ASSRA members shoot 40 cal rifles I wonder, and what are second hand moulds worth anyway ?.
Mike.

You don't happen to know if Canada has the same export rules and charges for shipping bullets by any chance.
Perhaps I can buy some there maybe, they must have some sort of store like BACo to buy their stuff from.

I don't know what Canada's export laws are, but you could sure send Rick K an email and ask him.
I do know that getting moulds from KAL isn't a big problem.

I have a great admiration for those who shoot paper patched bullets and a tremendous amount of sympathy for those who live in areas where the simplest of needs are not easy to come by. Sad indeed a Cell Phone is more useful to a terrorist than a bullet mould would ever become to be and it just doesn't make any common sense to me.

Getting a mould from BACo is no problem whatsoever and I could make my own, I have a small collection of moulds all sourced from the US, Paul Jones, Brooks, BACo and others, but try and buy pre cast bullets from any of these moulds and you encounter problems.  I doubt that the 40/65 or 40/60 Maynard are high on the list of favourite cartridges for terrorists.
The local gangsters around here seem to prefer 9mm and smokeless powder, bloody heretics.

yesterday I went to the Ridgway gun club with a friend that had shot there for years in the BPCR events. we set up all 200 targets when we got there and then proceeded to spend the day shooting. I had put a Steve Baldwin sight set on my rifle but had not been able to shot any farther than 150 yards, so this was my big test day. I had 100 rounds loaded, but only about 50 were what I was really wanting to see if they would do what I wanted them to do. the others were new brass that just needed shot to get them sized and were lighter loads. the 370 grain pp bullets were shooting great with 70 grains of 2f. I still can't believe the gun and loads were shooting that well and neither could my buddy. we really kicked butt on the chickens, pigs, turkeys and the rams. I ended up shooting 72 times and the others will get shot here at home tomorrow and then its on to loading all again and we will go again next week.  the pp bullets are working great for me and I hope you can get set up with them too and see how they work.

Mick your best bet would be to get ahold of Bruce Moulds, he's a frequent eloquist on a number of bcpr forums, that claims to shoot a 40 with paper patch in competition in Australia, he could most like provide you with some of his bullets, without you having to go thru the hassle of exporting something from the US or elsewhere.

I will try to contact Bruce and see what he has to say re PP Vs Greasers. If he posts on this site I can look up his handle and PM him.

I'm working up the specs for a DDPP bullet and ordering a mould. May I suggest purchasing a couple of pin gauges having diameters in the range of .391, .392, etc.  They're only a couple of bucks apiece and available at your local tool supplier. I bought mine at Production Tool Supply in Lansing, MI and had them within a week.  I got that idea from DT.  Tom
