We received bad news yesterday, and I tough passing it on would be proper.
I was shocked to hear that Dick passed away in his sleep night before last. He was working on a new gun the day before, and seemed in good health.
He was always be a solid American citizen and veteran. A great sense of humour, and many laughs when Dick was involved. He was known here in Alberta Canada as our adopted son due to the fact he spent a lot of time here with Ron Smith an family, in the shop, hunting and helping at harvest. Our friend Dick will be sadly missed both here and at Nine Mile Falls Washington.
RIP Friend an Brother
Tom

I'm so sorry to hear that, Tom.

I considered Dick a dear friend, we talked a lot at Spokane. He was always there to help with the matches and anything else.

Always kind and humble, I'll miss him.

RIP, Dick, your a great guy.

Dick was a Vietnam Vet.

He was the member of a crew; where a KC 135 Stratotanker out dove a Mig fighter, after it had shot down two American fighters off their fueling boom.

The plane landed after bending the frame of the aircraft pulling out of the dive. The plane is on display in Colorado.

During a bull session at Tommy's this year Dick revealed that he had "made a pretty good living lying on my belly and passing gas"  I nearly fell off my chair!  Really enjoyed talking with him and he will be missed.

Regards, Joe

That is sad.  He seemed healthy and happy at Spokane this year.  He will be missed.
