	That’s neat! ... and a cool find with an extra barrel and cased. There are many different single-shot pistols that it could be a collection of its own. Great find!

	I'm the same as Vall as far as liking and familiarity goes. Is the casing from the maker? Is it yours, Rebel? Is that stubby thing on the right a third barrel?

Seems the maker or seller is describing a single barrel vs. a single shot. Any gun with a magazine isn't a single shot in my way of thinking. Just because it doesn't automatically feed another round doesn't mean it's a single shot to me. But it is still a very nifty little switch barrel gun!

	If it is magazine fed "single shot" why isn't a magazine fed bolt action a single shot? You can make that point, I just thought you guys might enjoy seeing it. Anthony Fiala was an arctic explorer (he also went with TR on the Amazon Expedition. A Polar Bear is the company logo, it seems he thought the gun would be more reliable in cold weather. Yes, it's mine and the 3rd is a stubby barrel. The case is also original. It bears a striking resemblance to the High Standard Model B, which makes a lot of sense, same designer. Fiala made them from 1920 to 1923, the several other makers marketed them. Aaron

	We weren't questioning whether it was great for you to post it here Aaron. It's well worth seeing, and appreciate you showing it! Just questioning the terminology, and not whether it's a very fine gun, and very interesting!

	I'm going to guess that since the inventor's objective was something that was fast and reliable in extreme cold, his "straight pull" slide seemed better than the up, back, forward, and down motion of the common bolt gun, more reliable than the infamous Ross, and less complex than the Schmidt-Rubin. 	Yes, considering extreme cold was his basis for reliability, I'd guess simplicity was very important also.
