Looking at a 45/90 Winchester 1885 Creedmoor rifle.  Question is that the rifle is marked BLACK POWDER ONLY......is this legit or can smokelss be used also and if so how hot can they be loaded for this rifle?

It will work just fine with smokeless.

Put there for liability purposes only, the idea being to make it idiot-proof (which is impossible anyway!). The modern steel alloys used in your gun are far stronger than those used in the originals...which are commonly fired with appropriate smokeless loads.
