What would you suggest for a tripod when shooting prone?
Thank You,
Scott

I like the Freeland bipod stand.  Easy to get as low a you need.

I use a Freeland with a swivel head. I can adjust it so I don’t have to get out of position to see. Creedmoor Sports has one with larger diameter rods that would be an improvement. Get the swivel head though.

When I Shot Smallbore prone only thing I used or saw anybody else use, was a Freeland head, weighted bipod mount, scope offset. You can shoot swivel your head spot and come back to NPA perfect.  That’s the test can you spot without moving. I never shot the scope match always iron, scope shooters can spot with the rifles scope not moving at all.

I strongly recommend the Freeland TRIPOD with individually adjustable legs. In my opinion, the tripod is much more stable than the bipod, I have used both, and do NOT like the bipod.
your mileage may vary.

Scott,

I always used a Freeland bipod and/or tripod. Either work fine but the bipod will adjust lower. I have a couple of both. As noted above the swivels are great.
