Do I want to anneal brass that is only going to be used in breech seated loading?

Welcome, Critter.
Not unless you really need to for forming.
Annealed some and got random case neck collapse.

I have a large population of 32-40 and 38-55 Brass that has only ever been used Breech Seated. Never a problem, I have damaged more by dropping them or stepping on them. It is my policy though if they have Cannelure Rings as in new for fixed ammo. I shoot them the first time with a Black Powder load. This will Iron that ring almost to the point you cannot feel it, you can see it but it is Ironed right out flat. I have fired these types of Brass three or four times with Smokeless and the Ring is still there. Not just to see but to the feel. So now I use the Black Powder process 1st firing. This brass is never sized in it's life with me. Some time in the future I MAY? sell some of the Rifle's, the Brass will go with them. HTH Regards, FITZ. OLD TUCK.  Smiley
P.S. have not ever tried to Anneal Brass that is Breach Seated.
You may need to watch the overall Length as I will creep a little but I have not ever felt the need to resize as long as it going into the same Rifle.

If breech seating sizing is not typically ever required but trimming back to length can be and for me its after a couple hundred shots or so. You also want to flare the mouth of the case just until it drags a bit going into the chamber to eliminate any blow by and I do not anneal my cases. One should not place the wad down on the power but should leave it off the powder by at least 200 thousandths as a non ringing the barrel rule. I do not use a wad my rifles have been more consistently accurate with out it. If using a small capacity case one might not have that option and then floral foam has typicaly been the choice out my way and typically left at the mouth of the case.

The only issue I have with BS brass is the primer pocket will wear out after a few thousand shots.

BobZ same here with the primer pockets finally getting loose and a bit sooner if loading on the hotter side of what's typical.

I anneal my .32 RKS brass before I taper them.

The necks are then soft enough to seal in the chamber .

I do not anneal them again untill after 100 firings or when I start noting gas flashback blackening around the outside of the mouth.

Breech seated cases are not full length sized; so they do not case harden even after multiple firings.
