But he is using the famous but seldom heard of in modern times tooth pick, takes out the accuracy robbing barrel vibrations when using a tight cheek weld

Must not have been a fresh bale of alfalfa or oat hay around to pick a nice and tasty straw out of and had to settle on the tooth pick.

Joe, I don't know how you feel about it but I'd much rather take my beatings from the old guys rather than a young'n any day  Smiley  BTW, are there any rules about the toothpick and the potential of it offering support like a palm rest from the top side?  Grin  I generally use one but it's of the plastic kind and I don't think it offers as much support as the wooden ones do.  Thinking I need to change my equipment...  congrats to Gene

I don't know that I, personally would be giving him a hard time. Don't know him but he has a look that says "tough". So......I am gonna do like momma said and respect my elders ( I'm 72 ) cause he looks like he can  beat your arse at the bench OR the parking lot!! Besides he really can shoot so you gotta give him his due. Gotta ponder on the toothpick a mite though. Suspect the dark arts at work there. All in all I like his style.
Keep it up cause you are an inspiration to us younger guys.

Reminds me of a poor old dirt farmer in WV I put up hay for in the "70"s. Kinda made me itch for old times sake. moodyholler

Don't go knocking the toothpick...  it's an old tradition in lots of places.    Smiley

And congratulations to Gene!    Smiley

Always had an oat or alfalfa hay straw sticking out of my mouth but a toothpick works ok when not neither are around just no flavor to them.

BP you are indeed correct but I have not seen one in a restaurant for quite some time now in fact you have to ask for a toothpick around here now days and if you are lucky enough to get one it will be made out of plastic and tastes like crap.

The dental techs always tell me that I do a good job of flossing my teeth. When I tell them I have never flossed in my life but always have a pocket full of tooth picks they seem to be at a loss for words. Tooth picks were invented in Arkansas. If they'd been invented anywhere else they'd be called teeth picks.
