Rifle recoil is really a minimal risk compared to old guys riding trail bikes.

Getting a detached retina is a fairly low risk event for all but a few people. Old guys riding trail bikes seems more of a sure thing for injuries.

Damned lucky his head was ever found in all of the sage brush and like trying to find a downed white wing Dove while also trying to avoid all of those Snakes with their Rattles warning one to stay away.

Chuck said shooting his .45-70 with those 525 gr duplex loads getting ready to go to Bisby started the lower back problems the plagued him for the rest of his life.  He didn't go because of it.
