This was the first single shot match at  the "Phoenicia Fish and Game Association" on their newly improved 100 yard range in the heart of the Catskill mountains. It is a beautiful and challenging range with the best benches I have ever shot off of! Their website (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) has a video of the range improvements that is very interesting. It was also the first use of our new #11 target in an ASSRA match.

This was my first trip to the Phoenicia Club and actually the area where it is in the Catskills. Our host at the club and range officer did a super job of running the match and accommodating all of the participants. The benches are the most stable I've ever shot off and the range although a challenge when it comes to reading conditions is well kept and near park like in appearance. Would I go back there for another match? You bet I will. Great place and felt most welcomed there. To our host and range officer I tip my hat and say THANK YOU, and WELL DONE!

Nice range.  Looks like a good location without much room for developing neighbors to complain too!
