Chris,
If you can send me a example of these two bullets, I can draw them, that will give a pretty good BC for them.

Thanks very much for the offer Frank, but at the moment I'm not set up to post pictures anywhere.  My web site is down and I don't have a photobucket account anymore.

I was just hoping that someone had an approximate guesstimate.    Both of these are off the shelf 200gr Hoch molds that I got from CPA a few years ago.

Midway has some pictures of the 322200:

The other one, 322205 is a pointier spitzer design ( Darr style? ) with fewer, and shallower grooves.  I've never got around to using this mold yet.

Here is my 322205 Hoch bullet from CPA.
It is my best shooter in my HW.

OK, let's plug in the numbers from my 1:20 Hoch bullets to the calculator:
Hoch 322200 = 208gr / 322 dia (RN) ... 0.476 BC
Hoch 322205 = 211gr / 322 dia (RN, not Spitzer) ... 0.483 BC
Hoch 322215 = 207gr / 322 dia (true Spitzer) ... 0.475 BC
Both the 322200 & 322205 are narrow radius RN with metplats

Joe my interest is not really to improve scores or anything.

I'm a computer programmer/physics guy and I have written an interesting ballistics simulator and I just wanted to plug in some approximate numbers for my .32-40 loads.

Thanks Jack, that sounds promising.  I'll cast a few this week.  What sort of throat does your high walll's chamber have?

The 322200 is a very good bullet in my Ruger #1, but I've had two of those molds and neither fit my CPA at all.

I guess I'll find out soon about that 322205 Smiley

Both my 32-40s that like that bullet have a slight taper added after the original chambering.
It allows for fairly easy seating with a push type seated if desired.  I do use a seater with mechanical leverage on both the High Wall and Ballard.

" Once you guys get this all figured out and settle on a BC number for each bullet, then what do you do with it? What's better, a big number or a small number? "

The one that has no complaints about hanging out in the 25 Ring unlike some of the rest that would much rather shy away from it.

Depends if one has been fooled into believing he can actually shoot through the various conditions instead of learning how to shoot with them. If you can do the latter it really doesn't matter what the BC might be it boils down to the one consistently  providing the smallest group sizes.
