Need Adapter for a Redfield International

First of all, a disclaimer I am not a machinist or anything close to one, other than I can spell it.  I need an adapter/reducer for a Redfield International to reduce the size of the female thread that the aperture screws into.  The aperture that came with the sight appears to have a collar that increases the size of the aperture screw, however,p I’m unable to remove it. I would prefer to use an adjustable iris, hence my looking for a reducer or if easier to locate a collar.  If anyone understands of what I’m looking for, where might I be apt to purchase/find one.  Thanks, Tom

You might try a website, Apertures N More. Sorry, I don't know how to create a link, and don't think I really want to know!

I think if you post a picture of what you have it would help. THe normal size for that sight will take a merit adjustable, but that said if it has a collar like a Redfield Palma then that usually has the European sized collar and a adapter inserted in it for the merit or redfield size shank.

Go to Champions Choise and look at the Gehmen iris type with euro threads. Much nicer that the Merit.

I, too like the iris type aperture Gehman, Anschutz, Walther are indeed better than Merit and can even include color filters, etc.
BUT, if you are going to shoot BPCR/BPTR,
only the "Hadley" style disc is legal.
( Hadley has a wheel that is rotated to different apertures)
