Looks within the specs for an 8.15x46R. Remember this cartridge was made by many smiths before it was officially standardized.

The comparison of your chamber cast and the brass pictured by Irish66 shows the reason why your rifle won't take a standard round. The straight sided walls of Irish's brass are more pronouned in diameter as well as a defined shoulder, your cast shows a slight taper to the neck with no shoulder. You might be able to clean up the chamber with a spec reamer, good luck.

BONNER:
DON'T modify the rifle, just make ammo to fit it!    That's part of the fun, after all.

There were at least 6 different versions of the 8:15 X 46R, as Chris said, size down your brass and fire form to your chamber.  Ledball

I have two modern rifles chambered in 8.15 x 46r.  I have to keep the brass for each separate because rifle one's brass doesn't fit well in the other.  It will work, but it is hard to extract.  makes no sense to me, but once I figured out what was going on, it eliminated headaches.

Brass is easier to change than chambers.

I have three 8.15 x 46R rifles. They are all marked "norm" and they are all different. I either have to segregate the brass or re-size after shooting. I have re-formed 30-30 cases and also a quantity of factory RWS brass. The Buechel, below, can not be loaded without dies as the chamber is very tight and no case expansion takes place.
