Never shot 22lr very much, but for me this is a pretty good target. Shilen ratchet barrel and Aguila subsonic 40 gr. I love the Aguila Colibri for the back yard.

For you it is a good target?  For anyone it is a good target too!  Smiley

NICE!

I think CPA can really make a good 22fr. I like Paul and Gail. They are really great people and we are lucky to have them making rifles. CPA is one of the great American SS choices.

Thanks for posting that target.

Beautiful figure in that buttstock. I especially like the straight grip. But excuse my ignorance, what is a ratchet barrel ? Dale.

Shilen's ratchet rifling.

I'm not sure if I can legally post a photo from Shilen's page so here is a link instead.

Here are some historic forms of rifling, some coming back into vogue.

Very nice target, she's a tack driver for sure. I have a Hepburn with a ratchet barrel that won't shoot anywhere near that good. I've tried all kinds of Eley, Lapua, and RWS ammo in it and the best I've gotten out of it is just under 1". I'm about to give up and re-barrel it.

RRAFFL,

I switched from Super-Colbri to CCI quiet.  Just shot 10 shots offhand in the back yard.  Same scope setting at 70 yds as I use for 100 yds.  It make more noise hitting the metal bullet trap than it does going off.
