Quite some time ago there was an article about Ken Bresien in the "Muzzel Blasts". Does anyone know which issue it was?

You might try contacting the NMLRA at nmlra@nmlra.org or phoning them on (812)667-5131 as they may have the information you require, as for me I have been receiving Muzzle Blasts magazine for quite a while but don't recall the article.

I don't but trying doing a search for " Ken Bresiens Stevens " and it should take you to a PDF on the article as was published in the Rifleman and we'll worth reading. It being a PDF I could not copy and paste the direct link here.

Thanks John. That may be the article I was thinking of.

Why do I have this mental picture of Redsetter moving carefully through stacks and stacks of magazines and other paper. yet always knowing just where everything is? Bless him for it, too!

If that particular article were still bound in the original publication, just such an ordeal is exactly the effort that would be required. However, what I began doing about 40 yrs ago was tearing out the pages of articles I considered particularly valuable and filing them in general categories, such as, in this case, "Gunsmiths." But no matter how many such categories one makes up, there are always items that "fall between", & could be placed in 2 or more. First place I looked was a thick file I've labeled "Biography," but not finding it there, I next tried the one I found it in. (My special reason for saving it was the 3 rifles Ken relined for me ages ago.)
Should hasten to point out that it's only current publications I mutilate in this way; finding anything in the many hundreds of "antique" mags I have, mostly pre-1940 & generally un-indexed, would require a laborious search, unless I had previously photocopied them.

Here are a few pictures of the rifle I once owned the action and barrel were both made by Ken and the Tang Sight by Mike Stevens. These pictures were posted on behalf of ACGould and one also on this site and a very dear friend. I bought this rifle from him and it was my understanding at the time that I was now the third owner. The first owner being a past President of the ASSRA. This rifle was also the most consistent match winning Rifle I have owned to date and the action from what I understand was picked up by CPA and it still what they use.

Ken certainly deserves full credit for getting the ball rolling, but WOW!...what Paul did with it! I'd bet Ken was himself rather amazed by the size of the tree that sprang up from the seed he planted.
