Hi John, I did use the tube sight on the Stevens rifle for both of the ISSA regionals and it served me well.  I shot my Hoch action rifle with regular aperture sights for the IS portion of the RKS BR match and was pleasantly surprised to find I could see the targets pretty well.  Maybe the air is a little more clear up there?

Regards, Joe

Joe, I'm just an orphan with shabby old hand-me-downs. In this pic I'm shooting the RKS BR-50 match; each target has 25 little green bullseyes and you have to put one shot on each.  Tongue

Here's Joel Barber shooting an interesting prototype single shot - called the "Winifred"  if memory serves.  Supposedly will be sold as an action kit in the near future.  Price somewhere around $500 if all goes as planned.  Joel is a darned good shot as well as a nice guy.  He also made one of the king targets.

Joel did two identical King target posters.  One for the RKS iron sight bench match and this one for the ISSA Canadian Regional AS Offhand match.  I was lucky enough to bring this work of art home.

The shooter is Steve Barber, Joel's dad. On second look it may be Joel, if he got a haircut since I last saw him! Huh Roll Eyes

Willis who's action is that on Steve's rifle? Very unique and a first of its kind that I have seen and were you directly involved with it.

John- It is a Winifred, named for the designers wife. I have been in the shop and looked them over, but he since moved out west from NC. Steve is heavily involved in the development. It was based on deHaas original concept, but has been extensively redesigned for manufacturing and build ease. Hopefully the kits will soon be available, as most of the bugs have been worked out

Thanks for the close up Bob interesting design and the price is right. Steve is a super nice guy I shot with him once at the CBA Nationals back in 2006 up at Springfield and he has came down here for the Modesto ISSA Regionals. A real pleasure to be around.

Where does one find out more and put in order for one of those Winifred actions. I sure could use one...
