Parsons is not the most responsive vendor. I hope this has helped.

Gil Parsons passed away several years ago.  His son took over the business but apparently runs it only part time as a side activity.  While Gil had a large supply of parts (used, NOS and reproduced) it seems that the son has not been able to keep that supply line open.  It took him a couple of years to not get two STS scopes repaired, so I just gave up and got them back, one sort of fixed and the other just as sent to him.  I wish I could be more positive, especially since Gil did a great job on a 20 X just before his terminal illness.

Gil also used to build new Super Targerspots and I have seen a couple of his 20X's and would love to own one. He also liked to talk and the last time I spoke with about a simple question we were on the phone for an hour shooting the bull. A nicer fellow would be hard pressed to find and his wife was just like Gil. She once told me the son had no interest in Gils work all though both herself and Gil wanted to seem him carry it on.

Unertl    (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

That should be pdf on the end of the urls.

Kurt I wasn't able to open any of them and I would love to see them become stickies as well but maybe in another format.

Mal
I got a prompt reply from Malcolm but he was unable to help with the screw I needed. Since then I have straightened it somewhat so that it now turns but has a couple of stiff spots still.
Anyway as I don't have to take the scope of the rifle all that often I will just have to live with it as it is.
Thanks to everybody for your help.
Mike.
