Know the Brochardt Mike is talking about.
No marks, but extremely fine workmanship.
Everything moves like greased glass, no play anywhere.
Probably the best single trigger I have seen.
Beautiful semi-bench, thumb rest stock.
.32-40, six very narrow lands, 1.125" straight barrel, appears stainless.
If made by Joe Ginasco, he was an exceptional gunsmith.

Yes, I met Joe through a mutual friend maybe 20 years ago. I purchased a Pope re-decapper from him that he made. It was perfect and extremely well made. He showed us a Borchart action that he added Zischang double-set triggers to. It looked to be extremely well done as well.

Have not kept in touch with Joe and do not know if he is still with us.

I bought the guns from Gary Quinlan several years ago, and per Gary,  Joe told his wife to use Gary to sell what firearms he had. There was also a Stevens 44.5 45 model that I bought at the same time and I beleive came from the same estate. Beautiful wood and workmanship in 17 Ackley hornet with a single set trigger and thru bolt and came with it's own custom made cleaning rod. Gary said he didn't build a whole lot but what ever he did build he wanted it to be the best he could do. If the two that I have are examples of his work I would say he met his goal.
