Hey bnice thanks a lot. I looked for any contact info and didn't find any for him. You wouldn't know how to reach him would you?

Thanks again,
Ted

Have used Steve Earlie's offset mounts for a few years now. They are intended for use with scopes having external adjustments and attached to gun and his offset mounts with Unertl-style blocks. I have been quite happy with them.

I have been adapting them to fixed, non Unertl-style scopes (lighter weight Leupolds in my case) and use them on rifles that have little recoil (32-20) and rifles that I use extensively with downloaded ammo. So far so good.

Did Steve follow the style of offset mounts that WRA cataloged back in 1910?

Steve's are similar to Win. offset mounts like Winchester and Lyman built. He carries them to even fot the later Bennet odd sized Win. bases.

IF OP is seeking offset mounts designed for using left eye when shooting right handed, or, right eye when shooting left handed, using normally stocked rifles, then Steve only provides offset mounts for use with "standard" Unertl blocks mounted on barrel, per "normal practice".

To use "Bennett" mounts (only for A5 scopes) with their 3/4" offset, instead of the 2.25", 2.5", 2.75" of normal eyes, shooter will need add-on cheek pad, etc. These offset mounts are only intended to offset scope away from vertically ejected brass.

The WRA bases and offset mounts can be installed to hang the scope off of either the left or right side of the action.
Don't see why you couldn't do the same with others.

Done it.
Mounted a WRA scope in WRA offset mounts with the scope hanging off the right-hand side of a WRA Model 1873.
Have you?

Why do you insist on screwing with a perfectly simple post the OP made here? Just because you use an A5 has little or nothing to do with his question of offset mounts. He never said his friend used a Win. A5 scope, so why muddle things up with what works for you?
It's not irrelevant to the OP's question.

Should you read your own and BP's posts, you will find that you and he are the ones "screwing up" the OP's thread.
