32-40 Test Bullets Needed
Jun 11th, 2018 at 3:35pm
Print Post

Finished converting a Ruger #1 to 32-40. Am looking for some different bullets to try in it before ordering a mold or buying a quantity of cast bullets
Looking for 20 each of various designs and weights from the usual 170 gr to 220gr.

Will cover postage via PayPal.

Thanks,
Andre`

I can send you 5 different bullets in you weight range, in batches of of 20, for $.30 each, plus postage. They would be cast in 22/1.

Groove diameter of barrel would be helpful for one trying to be helpful and the twist rate might also be helpful to know as well. $30.00 for 20 that might not fit to me is not a wise investment if seriously looking for something that might actually work. Intended use would also be helpful in regards to what alloy might also be the best choice to use.

Target Shooting is the purpose, groove is .320. Don't remember the twist, will check when I get home.

Does that mean you intend to screen what you offer based on the above?

Kinda ruins the fun on this end...

Thank you for the offer and info, Arnie.  Did not know about that event.  Would be interesting to come and watch.

Will see what the family has for plans given the Father's Day thing and let you know.

Screen no not at all I have opened up basebads all the way up .328 for one .325 for another and some of the new barrels out their are now only .319. I just thought it to be reasonable question and a better place for one to start and was actually quite surprised it was not the first question asked. You should at least know what it is you might be paying for if willing to pay for it one would think and that is all.

I could use some .62 bullets.  Maybe about fifty of each weight.  450 gr, 500 gr, 550 gr, 600 gr.  Prefer 20-1 lead & tin. I'll split shipping costs.

now thats funny ,   yep it is Grin

Let's see:  $0.30 x 20= $6.00 almost everywhere.
                $20.00 per 20 -- Califernya 'rithmitic.
No wonder the place is in the hole by umpty-billion dollars.
